ROSHNI NGO organized its 4th edition of CARNIVAL OF LOVE AND HARMONY on 19th December ,2021 by inviting 600 lesser privileged children of World Vision , Ek Pahel NGO and students of informal education of St Patricks Social welfare Centre . Fete was organized in St Peter’s College ground . Attractions of the fete were variety of game stalls, swings , racing tracks , puppet show . Magic show and tattoo. All children were served breakfast and lunch . There was a poster making competition on the theme EMPOWERING THE GIRLD CHILD . Carnival was inaugurated by CDO Agra . Mr Manikanadan , IAS and Archbishop Dr Raphy Manjali . Other guests were Father Correia of St Peter’s, Father Shibu of Catholic Diocese, Father Bhaskar of St Clares . Main highlight of the fete was that six girls from the lesser privileged section who have under difficulty and hardship have attained certain economic independence and made a mark . Amongst them was a cricketer, a footballer , an athlete , beautician , caterer and a girl who studies and runs a puncture shop too . The day finished with a lot of fun and joy and it brought smile on the faces of many . Samarpan club and teachers of SRGMS School volunteered to help out in organizing the carnival . Today on children’s day we were organized a small fete cum Cultural program for the students of informal education of St Patrick’s Social Welfare Centre Students. There was the performance of dances, group Song and skits by the students. Goody bags were given to all children by a friend Nikita. Father Bhaskar Principal St Clare’s distributed chocolates to all the students. Later there was after organized for them in which members of Roshni and Ashiana had put up food stalls, games stalls, and lucky dip. It was a fun-filled day for about 70/ 80 children
Roshni ( Dr RS Sodhi Charitable Trust celebrated its Founder's Day and Girls Scholarship program on 17th of September 2021 . Mrs.Babita Sahu SP Vigilance Was the chief guest and Rani Saroj Gaurihar freedom fighter was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Theme of the programme was Women Empowerment . The function started with lighting of the lamp and Ganesh Vandana.Then there was a group dance performance on Empowerment of Women which was appreciated by everyone.Dr.Saroj Prashant chief trustee of Roshni presented a report on various activities done last year.She said Trust provided services during pandemic by providing medicines,masks,ration etc to the Covid patients and their family members.
Roshni also felicitated few Safai Karamcharis in Dayalbagh area. Books and mobile phones were also distributed among the children for attending their classes online. Mrs. Manoj Bal, President Roshni gave a vote of thanks. On this occasion fifteen girls for deserving girls from the under privileged section were awarded scholarship for their studies and small Girls were given scholarship to deposit in their SUKANYA DEPOSIT SCHEME .
ROSHNI Closing ceremony of the certificate courses On 21 st Sept , 2021 we organised the closing ceremony of our tailoring abd beautician courses . About 35 girls be fitted from these three months courses . Competitions were held in cutting of garments and makeup Techniques . Winners were awarded prizes and certificates were awarded to all candidates .
ROSHNI ON 21 st September donated the following things to EKPahel Bharat Natyam dance costumes , material for stitching costumes , de oration material . Snacks were served to every ine present .
On the Founders Day of ROSHNI A three day programme is scheduled . On 4 th we had food distribution in Ek Pahel and in Kamla Nagar area . Today 5 th August we organised a lecture cun interactive session at St Peter’s College for their class XI students . The topic was 5 WAYS TO BUILD CONFIDENCE By Corporate trainer and coach Tunvey Gogia . Scholarships were given to about 18 girls who are aspiring n needy , from Class X , XII , BCom , BVOC n BTech . We thanks our friends who support us in our activities .
A workshop was organised by ROSHNI for teachers of Little Angels Sr Sec School and Sumeet Rahul Goel Mem Sr Sec School in 6 th August on the topic UNBOX YOURSELF by Tunvey Gogia .It was very useful for teachers and was liked by all . Mr Ramanand Chauhan also addressed the teachers . The workshop was followed by lunch for everyone present.
At ROSHNI we regularly run stitching courses for women and girls who are keen to learn a skill. Besides Stitching courses, we run beautician courses also from time to time. The closing ceremony of one of our four-month basic courses was held on 10 August. These courses are run in Ek Pahel Pathshala in the afternoons.
